Population Connection's Campus Outreach Program

Who We Are...
We Are America's Grassroots Population Organization.
Overpopulation threatens the quality of life for people everywhere. Population Connection educates young people and advocates progressive action to stabilize world population at a level that can be sustained by Earth's resources. If you're passionate about reducing poverty, women's rights, or the environment - all of these problems are exacerbated by a rapid increase in population growth. We make the connection between all of these issues and encourage our activists to broaden the scope of the population debate in their communities.

Population Connection's Campus Outreach Program is a key resource for students and faculty concerned with population growth and its impacts on the environment and human rights. We are working to raise awareness and take action on population issues on campuses across the country. You can play a crucial role in reducing our impact on the Earth and improving access to family planning, health care, and education. This program is here to help keep you informed and active on campus - and to make a real, positive difference for people and the planet.

This fall we are organizing around the theme "Our Choices Count." Whether you're making a choice about how much you consume, your prefered form of contraception, what mode of transportation you use, or who you vote for you are making a decision that counts and one that effects you and the larger global community. We are urging our activists to think cricitally about the choices they make but also about the choices our government makes.
